1. Scope and controller
This policy applies to DocScanly, operated by BRUXKEY PRIVATE LIMITED, Faridabad, Haryana, India (“BruxKey”, “we”, “us”). DocScanly does not require a BruxKey account or login. It does use limited product analytics, so “no account” does not mean that no technical information is processed.
2. Document content and iCloud
Images and PDFs you capture, import, create, or edit are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, Apple stores and synchronises that document content through your iCloud account and container according to your Apple settings and Apple's privacy terms. BruxKey does not operate a separate account-based server that receives your document library.
DocScanly does not use your document content for advertising or product analytics. The operating system may create device or iCloud backups according to settings you control.
3. Camera, photos, files, sharing, and printing
DocScanly requests camera or photo-library access only when you choose a related capture or import action. You can change permissions in device settings, though the related feature may then be unavailable. File access is used for locations and files you select.
When you share, export, or print, you instruct the device to provide the chosen document to a recipient, app, storage service, or printer. That destination handles its copy under its own privacy practices. Review the destination before sending sensitive material.
4. Product analytics and technical information
We use Google Analytics for Firebase for analytics only. Depending on platform and configuration, it may process an app-instance identifier, app and device type, operating-system and app version, language, session and lifecycle events, feature interactions, marketplace purchase events, approximate location derived from a masked IP address, and technical or diagnostic information. Platform settings can affect whether a device or advertising-related identifier is available.
DocScanly has no BruxKey login, and we do not assign analytics data to a DocScanly account or send document content to analytics. We do not use Firebase Authentication, advertising services, or a separately verified crash-reporting service for the practices described by this policy.
5. Why we use information
Documents are processed to provide capture, PDF creation, editing, organisation, optional sync, sharing, and printing features you request. Analytics is used to understand broad feature use, app performance, and reliability; prioritise improvements; investigate technical problems; protect the App; and comply with legal obligations.
Where applicable, processing is based on providing the App, our legitimate interests in maintaining and improving it, consent or device permissions where required, and legal obligations.
7. Retention and deletion
Local documents remain until you delete them in DocScanly or through applicable device controls, or remove the App, subject to system backups. iCloud documents remain until deleted through DocScanly or your iCloud controls, subject to Apple's backup and retention processes. Copies you share, export, or print are controlled by their recipient or destination.
Google Analytics information is kept according to the retention settings configured for the analytics property and Google's deletion processes, then deleted or aggregated. Because DocScanly has no account, analytics is generally not directly identifiable to us by your name or email. Contact us if you need help understanding or exercising an available deletion option.
8. Your controls and privacy rights
You can decline or revoke camera/photo permissions, disable iCloud for the App, delete local or iCloud documents, control sharing destinations, and use applicable device privacy controls. Depending on your location, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection for personal information BruxKey controls, withdraw consent, and complain to a data-protection authority.
We may need information to verify a request. A right may be limited where the data cannot reasonably be linked to you or where an applicable legal exception exists.
9. Security, transfers, and children
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information involved, but no device, storage, or transmission method is completely secure. Apple and Google may process information internationally using their recognised safeguards.
DocScanly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us. Higher local age thresholds apply where required.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the App, providers, or law changes. We will post the new date and give additional notice where required.
